Philosophy
Camiron believes that mental and physical pain is integrated and may require multiple approaches to healing. As a massage therapist, she has experience with fibromyalgia, physical trauma, and PTSD.
She has spent years working with Veterans, motor vehicle accident cases, and workman's compensation cases and has witnessed the change with physical and mental pain with massage therapy and art therapy.
As a child, she worked with paint, clay, and collaging to work through her own pain and trauma and is passionate about extending that knowledge to her clients now.
With a combination approach, Camiron feels that she can help with her clients passively and actively through multiple disciplines. She meets clients where they are to develop a plan of action utilizing her training in yoga, massage, and art therapy.
As an art therapist, Camiron has witnessed the importance of art in the healing practice. Art allows the client to work at their own pace and build a personal practice that grants them control over their healing. In addition to yoga and massage, clients are able to work on a spectrum- focusing on deciding what form of healing is useful at that time of their lives. Camiron believes that her clients know what is best for themselves and encourages a collaborative approach to healing.
Education
Camiron graduated from Irene's in 2019, where she focused on orthopedic massage, clinical assessment, and myofascial release. She later studied under John Barnes to fine tune her myofascial techniques.
In 2021, she finished her training as a 200-hour yoga teacher and developed a curriculum specifically for participants with chronic pain and mental trauma.
In 2026, she graduated from Wayne State University with her M.Ed. in Art Therapy and soon after received her board certification in Art Therapy. She worked together with Wayne State to develop a program to help art supplies become more accessible to students of all backgrounds through the Makerspace. After she graduated, she continued to integrate her skills to focus on trauma.
